Monadnock United Way Joins Statewide Effort to Keep New Hampshire Warm This Winter

Monadnock United Way (MUW) is proud to partner with fellow United Ways across New Hampshire in the first-ever NH United Ways Coat Drive, a statewide effort to collect new and like-new coats for children and adults in need.

From now until October 31, 2025, MUW and community partners will collect donations to make sure families and individuals have the warmth and protection they need before winter begins. “Here in the Monadnock Region, neighbors look out for one another,” said Liz LaRose, President of Monadnock United Way. “This coat drive is a simple but powerful way we can come together to make sure every child waiting for the bus, every parent heading to work, and every person in our community is prepared for the cold months ahead.”
How the Community Can Contribute

• Donate New or Like-New Coats – Visit www.muw.org/coats for a list of local drop-off spots or www.graniteuw.org/nhcoatdrive for state-wide drop-off locations and other donation options.
• Spread the Word – Share this effort with friends, family, and coworkers to increase community impact.

The response from our community has been overwhelming. Thanks to community partners, including the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club and many others, we have drop-off points throughout the region, which speaks volumes about the caring power of the Monadnock Region. Together, we’re ensuring that New Hampshire residents enter the winter months with dignity and warmth.
