JCC 60th Anniversary
Spring Juried Show
Rules: Artwork can be any subject and does not need to adhere to a theme. Work can be in both 2 and 3 dimensions. Art must be display ready; art must have a wire hanging for our hanging system. No piece larger than 60“ square. Art should weigh not more than 100 lbs. All works must be original art and current art done by the artist. Artwork executed in a workshop or under another artist’s supervision, or paintings done from a published photo are not eligible. Work previously accepted in a Jaffrey Civic Center exhibition will not be eligible. PLEASE do not submit artwork that you have submitted to previous Jaffrey Civic Center shows. By entering this art exhibition, you are granting us a non-exclusive perpetual license to reproduce images of your artwork (on our websites, newsletters, and social media accounts, with credit to you, of course). The Civic Center will collect a 30% commission on all sales from the exhibition.
This is a juried show; you must submit an image of your artwork in order to be submitted into the jurying process. Our juror will make their decisions after the submission form closes. You will be notified by the end of the week of April 6 if your work was accepted or not. If it was accepted, you will be sent an entry fee payment link or you may pay at drop off.
Dates and Information:
• You may submit up to 2 works, but the juror may only pick one piece per artist.
• Deadline for entry of forms and images: Tuesday, April 7 at 11:59 pm
• Artists will be alerted by the end of the week of the submission deadline on which pieces will be included in the show and which will need to be dropped off.
• Artwork needs to be delivered to the Jaffrey Civic Center on Saturday April 18, from 10 - 5 pm
- All accepted artwork must be ready to hang with a wire. Unframed canvases must have sides treated and have a wire across the back. All works must be labeled on the back with title, dimensions, medium, artist's name and price.
• Reception is Friday, April 24, 5 - 7 pm
• Exhibit opens April 24, Exhibit closes June 6
• Pick-up of work is Saturday, June 6 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm. Please make arrangements to be able to pick up your artwork during this time slot on this day ahead of time.
Entry Fees After Acceptance:
$12 per piece for JCC Members
$15 per piece for non-members
