Dear MUW Supporters,
Spring brings a mix of welcome changes and less pleasant obligations. The good—melting snow, returning birds, and the first early blooms—is greeted with enthusiasm by just about everyone. The not-so-good, however—mud season, pollen, and the annual task of filing our taxes—are among the season’s less enjoyable traditions.
This year’s tax filing deadline, Wednesday, April 15, is approaching quickly. We want to be sure everyone knows about United Way’s MyFreeTaxes, provided in partnership with the IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program to give low-moderate income filers the assistance needed to file their federal and state taxes – for free!
